Tata Motors July 2025 Sales : Tata Registers Record-Breaking Monthly EV Sales

Tata Motors shared its sales report of July 2025. While the company witnessed an overall year-on-year decline of 12% in total passenger vehicle sales, it achieved a record sales in terms of EVs.

Tata Motors didn’t revealed the particular sales of its line-up, they just revealed the total number of passenger vehicle sold in the month of July. Tata Motors sold a total of 39,521 in India in the month of July this year. This is the total number of sales which include both ICE and EVs. The Electric Vehicle segment showed positive growth, but this was not because of new Harrier EV. As the deliveries of new Harrier EV just began last week. But Tata Motors can have more EV sales in August as Tata Harrier recorded 10,000 bookings on the very first day of launch.

Tata Motors had sold 44,725 units of both ICE and electric vehicles in the same month last year. Which means Tata Motors saw 12% decline in year-on-year sales for the month of July. For better understanding of the data, take a look at this table:

Where the graph of the domestic sales of passenger vehicles was red, Tata Motors recorded a significant rise in the exports. Tata Motors had sold only 229 units in July last year, they just exported 654 units in July 2025. This accounts for a remarkable 186% year-on-year growth in exports. While the festive season is coming and most awaited Sierra launch is lined-up, Tata Motors is expected to make a comeback in sales in the upcoming months. July 2025 marked a dip in overall sales of the vehicles, the EV line-up showed a positive growth which shows the interest of Indian customers in Electric Vehicles. With the Harrier EV securing 10,000 bookings on the first day of its launch and more electric models on the way, Tata Motors seems well prepared for the future.
